The New Way Of Selling Cattle

CH Cattle Company, in alliance with Fredin Brothers out of Springfield, Minnesota, has formed a local buying facility in the southwestern Virginia region. The process begins when the producer brings the cattle directly to Craig’s facility in Glade Spring. The cattle are then unloaded, sorted, and weighed. Prices of cattle are determined the day prior to weigh in and can be viewed online under Price List or call CH Cattle at (276) 429-9064 or (276) 429-5544. There are three different grades depending on the quality of cattle. All calves, yearlings, slaughter cows and bulls will be accepted. Cattle will be weighed EVERY WEDNESDAY FROM 7:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M. Checks are issued immediately after this process.
This weigh up program began in August of 2010 and has been success thus far. It allows local producers with the sale of their cattle in getting farm-fresh cattle directly to the farm or feedlot. We feel this process is such a great benefit for the producer and for the feeder due to less stress on the cattle and the many health issues that can occur during marketing.
